Growing up as an only child, the closest thing I had to siblings were our family dogs. Two in particular, our Rottweiler Mace and Golden Retriever Vincent. We adopted Mace when I was only 1 year old and he became my best friend for 10 years. Vincent became part of the family when I was around 8 years old and was a huge part of my life.. Always by my side as a teenager, he knew everything about me. It was through those teenage years I really discovered the bond that can form between human and canine. When we had to say goodbye to Vincent, I knew I needed to have that special canine bond in my life but being young and in flatting situations I wasn't able to have my own dog.
What better way to have my canine fix than to pursue a career working with dogs!.. The Hounds Hangout is the perfect place for me, being able to spend time and care for these amazing animals. Seeing the dogs so happy is extremely rewarding.
Of course it drove me further to wanting my own fur baby, so when my partner and I met a gorgeous 6 month old Pit-bull named Rouge who was in a situation where she desperately needed adopting there was no other option but for us to take her in!
The knowledge I gain every day at The Hounds Hangout has played a huge role in the work I have done with Rouge.. She is now the most happy, healthy and loving dog we could ever ask for. I am excited for the future with The Hounds Hangout and I look forward to creating amazing bonds and memories with our clients and their special fur babies.
